'DANCE 2010'
landguard Fort
July 2010

Cedric Christie’s installation at Landguard Fort, ‘Dance 2010’ comprised two intertwining and twisted forms, each constructed of four brightly coloured aluminium strips. Sited near the North Wall (also known as the Mortar Platform), the sculptures welcomed visitors on entry to the Fort.

Cedric has exhibited widely in UK and internationally and has curated a number of large scale group exhibitions. His work explores a broad range of cultural and art historical references, often using humour and irony as subtle vehicles of communication. He incorporates and manipulates everyday objects such as, snooker balls, scaffolding, and even cars creating sculptures that are meticulously and skilfully made.
