About Us

Commissions East is one of the UK’s leading public art agencies. We work in partnership with the public and private sectors to develop and deliver outstanding visual arts projects that define places, unite people and challenge perceptions.

Since we began we have delivered approximately 200 permanent and temporary public art projects, working with over 80 commissioners from the public and private sectors. We have also developed a number of public art strategies and policies, making art an integral part of the planning and property development process.

Founded in 1993, Commissions East is a registered charity in receipt of regular funding from Arts Council England, East.
