Artist Sokari Douglas Camp was appointed in 2001 to create a sculpture for the main atrium of the new Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich.

Created from cut sheet steel and coloured glass, the sculpture represents tree boughs and leaves. It is visible from different levels of the four storey atrium, as well as the reception area and restaurant. Suspended between support pillars and illuminated from above by natural light, the work creates an impression of movement in the leaves.

Commissioned by the Norfolk and University Hospital NHS Trust Arts Project with the support of Commissions East and funded by Octagon Healthcare Ltd and Benson-Sedgwick Engineering Ltd.
