Contemporary Art in Historic Places discussion

In November Commissions East hosted a discussion about 'Contemporary Art in Historic Places' - a partnership project between the National Trust, English Heritage and Commissions East. Referencing the purpose of 'Contemporary Art in Historic Places' and involving the participating artists, the discussion:

  • reviewed the commissions, their successes and failures;
  • explored the role of contemporary artists in historic environments;
  • identified approaches for the future.

More information about 'Contemporary Art in Historic Places' and a PDF of the discussion summary are available from the links to the right.
