Local authorities, as well as property developers, hospital trusts and housing associations, are now expected to plan and develop their public art commissions within a policy and strategy framework that takes an integrated and long-term view of the potential of working with artists in the public realm.
This approach unlocks more funding, greater support and more interesting opportunities for artists – ultimately leading to a more coherent public realm that genuinely references and reinforces a sense of place.
We have worked with numerous organisations to research and develop their public art policies and strategies, and have a wealth of experience in this area.
